Booking & Tickets:

How do I book a ferry ticket?

You can book tickets online via our website or by calling our customer service team at +44 1624 654081.

Can I make changes to my booking?

Yes, bookings can be amended before departure, subject to availability. Amendment fees and any applicable fare increases may apply.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit and debit cards through our online booking system, as well as payments by bank transfer.

Will I receive a confirmation after booking?

Once your booking has been made, you will receive an order acknowledgement. After your booking has been confirmed, a final confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.

Check-In & Boarding: 

How early should I arrive before departure?

We recommend arriving at least 1.5 hours before your scheduled departure. The latest check-in time for vehicle drivers and their passengers is 45 minutes prior to departure. Foot passengers should check in at the Passenger Terminal, with the latest check-in time being 25 minutes before departure. Please refer to your confirmation email or contact us to verify these times, as they may change during busy periods.

What documents do I need for boarding?

You will need a copy of your email confirmation, as this serves as your ticket for boarding. It can be presented at check-in either as a printed copy or on a mobile device. Alternatively, you may travel using your booking reference if it is available. While passports or photo identification are not required at check-in, all passengers must carry valid identification in accordance with the ferry operator's Conditions of Carriage and the Aviation and Maritime Security Act 1990, and be able to present it upon request.

What happens if I miss my ferry?

If you miss your departure, your booking will normally be treated as a no-show. However, please contact our team as soon as possible to discuss any available options.

Vehicles & Luggage:

Can I bring my vehicle?

Yes, travelling with a vehicle is possible. If you would like a freight quotation or wish to make a freight booking, please contact us by phone or email, and our team will be happy to assist.

Is there a luggage allowance?

There is no charge for luggage carried in private vehicles, including rooftop boxes and towbar racks, provided it remains within the booked vehicle dimensions and safe weight limits. Foot passengers may check in any amount of luggage, with a maximum weight of 23kg per item. All luggage larger than small personal items must be checked in and will not be accessible during the crossing. Passengers are responsible for transporting their own luggage and should ensure all items are clearly labelled. One item of hand luggage measuring up to 55cm x 40cm x 20cm may be taken onboard. Luggage sizers are available at all ports.

Are bicycles allowed onboard?

Yes, bicycles are allowed onboard, although an additional fee applies. To book a bicycle, first make a foot passenger booking and then contact us by phone so we can add the bicycle to your reservation. Bicycles may also be added at the ferry terminal on the day of travel, subject to availability.

Onboard Services:

Are food and drinks available onboard?

Yes, all ferries have a bar, café, and restaurant onboard, offering a selection of food, snacks, and beverages throughout your journey.

Are pets allowed onboard?

Yes, pets are allowed onboard. However, all pets must travel in one of the approved options: a vehicle, onboard kennels, the Pet Lounge, or a pet-friendly cabin. Availability may vary, so we recommend booking pet accommodation in advance where possible.

Delays, Cancellations & Refunds:

What happens if my ferry is delayed or cancelled?

Passengers will be notified as soon as possible by email, text message, or phone call. If your sailing is affected, we will make every effort to rebook you onto the next available sailing.

Can I get a refund if my ferry is cancelled?

In the event of a cancellation by the ferry operator, we will offer to transfer you to the next available sailing or provide a refund for your booking.

How do I request a refund?

To request a refund, please submit your request in writing by completing the contact form.

What are your customer service hours?

Our customer support team is available Monday–Friday from 09:00 to 17:30, except on bank holidays.

The lead-in price quoted for this offer is based on two adults sailing as foot passengers from Heysham on 3rd July 2026 and staying in the Sefton Hotel for 2 nights. The price was correct as at 16 June 2026. All lead in prices subject to availability. 

This package is operated by Manx Ferries. When making a booking you are accepting our Terms & Conditions of business.

There are additional special terms which apply to this package. By making a booking, you agree that you accept all of these terms:

  • Full payment for your travel arrangements is required at the time of booking. Once booked, the travel costs are entirely non-refundable.
  • If you need to make any changes to your travel arrangements, please contact us and we will do our best to assist. However in many cases changes may not be permitted, and any changes which can be made are likely to incur extra costs.
  • The cost of this break does not include travel insurance, however comprehensive travel insurance is essential. If you need to arrange travel insurance please contact us.
  • If you intend to travel with sporting equipment of any kind, please call us on 01624 654 081 before making a booking, so that we can check with the relevant carrier whether space is available and whether any additional costs would apply.
